Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Adventure Air Flight Training's services, website, and facilities. By enrolling in our flight training programs or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Flight Training Services
Enrollment and Eligibility
- Students must meet all FAA eligibility requirements for their desired certificate or rating
- Students must possess and maintain a valid FAA medical certificate appropriate for their training
- Students under 18 years of age must have written parental or guardian consent
- Adventure Air reserves the right to refuse or terminate training for any student who does not meet eligibility requirements
Training Standards
- All training is conducted in accordance with FAA regulations and standards
- Students must comply with all federal, state, and local aviation regulations
- Students are expected to maintain satisfactory progress as determined by their flight instructor
- Adventure Air reserves the right to modify training programs to comply with regulatory changes
Scheduling and Cancellations
Flight Scheduling
- Flight training sessions must be scheduled in advance through our approved scheduling system
- Students are responsible for arriving on time for scheduled sessions
- Late arrivals may result in shortened or cancelled sessions at the instructor's discretion
Cancellation Policy
- Students must provide at least 24 hours notice for flight cancellations
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee
- No-shows will be charged the full session rate
- Weather-related cancellations by Adventure Air will not incur any fees
Payment Terms
Fees and Payment
- All fees must be paid in advance of training sessions
- We accept cash, check, and major credit cards
- Block time purchases are non-refundable but transferable with written approval
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice
Additional Costs
Students are responsible for additional costs including but not limited to:
- FAA written exam fees
- FAA practical test (checkride) fees
- Medical certificate costs
- Required textbooks and training materials
- Headset and other personal equipment
Safety and Liability
Assumption of Risk
Students acknowledge that aviation activities involve inherent risks. By participating in flight training, students assume all risks associated with aviation activities, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or death.
Insurance Requirements
- Students acting as pilot-in-command must maintain appropriate aviation insurance
- Adventure Air's insurance covers the aircraft but may not cover all student liabilities
- Students are encouraged to obtain renter's insurance for their protection
Indemnification
Students agree to indemnify and hold harmless Adventure Air Flight Training, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the student's use of our services or violation of these Terms.
Student Conduct
- Students must maintain professional behavior at all times
- Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated
- Students must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during training
- Violation of conduct standards may result in immediate termination of training
Intellectual Property
All training materials, curricula, and content provided by Adventure Air remain our intellectual property. Students may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without written permission.
Privacy and Records
- Student records are maintained in accordance with FAA requirements
- We protect student privacy as outlined in our Privacy Policy
- Students have the right to review their training records upon request
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in accordance with Oklahoma state law.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adventure Air's liability for any claims arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by the student for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Modifications to Terms
Adventure Air reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Students will be notified of material changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma and applicable federal aviation regulations.
